Constantanople

Constantinople is the old name for Istanbul. It was also called Byzantium. The first urban settlers was founded as Greek colony about 658 BC, The leader of that was Byzaz he named the city Byzantium after his self. People came there before Byzaz from as early as 3000 BC. When more people came to Byzantium they crowned Byzaz king because they thought he found the city. Byzantium, Constantinople and Istanbul covers 39 districts. It is and was located next to the Bosphorus Strait and encompasses the natural harbor known as the Golden Horn. Because of the strategic location they were always been besieged and captured.
